Characteristic of bentonites
North-Bohemian bentonites are mined and processed since 1953. In 1969 based on geological survey and evaluation of raw material resources our factory in Obrnice near Most was put in operation. Its production secured the whole of foundry industry in that time ČSFR. The quality of input raw material, its huge reserves and implementation of modern technological processes brought KERAMOST, a.s. at the level of leading European producers of processed bentonites.

Bentonites with enhanced properties
Range of products offered by the company KERAMOST, a.s. includes bentonites suitable for the following applications: filling agent for production of dyes, filling agent for production of animal fodders, preparation for removal of slag supports or grained bentonite materials with use in environmental, agricultural, building and water service activities.
Bentonites for building industry
Bentonites for building industry are by means of selective extraction and technological processing targeted on exploitation of their extraordinary geological properties. These bentonites are noted for their high swelling capacity, for impenetrability of mixed and compacted layers and for sealing actions by maintenance and building of reservoirs, waterworks and waste depots. Further building bentonites are used as suspensions in boring works, for fixing of unstable underlying beds, in deep foundation, etc. Moreover specific properties of these bentonites enable their application as fluidifier in paste-like masses, plasters, mortars and concretes.
Bentonites for purifying of waste waters
Environmentally unobjectionable natural origin of bentonite together with its sorption, re-cultivation and sealing properties predetermine it for its application in ecology and environment protection. Bentonite is widely used for cleaning of waste and sewage waters contaminated by oil substances, heavy metals, etc.
