KERAMOST, a.s. offers a wide selection of bentonite foundry binders. Our specialty is mixed bentonites made by mixing various types of raw materials and other additives that improve the resulting parameters. Quality products in homogeneous deliveries help foundry operations reduce scrap and, thanks to the recirculation of the bentonite mixture, also reduce other operating costs. We provide customers with free consulting services and analyses of molding mixtures.

This group consists of dried and ground natural calcium-magnesium bentonites originating mainly from North Bohemian mining sites. They are characterized by reduced drying out, excellent disintegration after casting and rapid increase in binding strength when mixing the molding mixture.

These bentonites are produced from selectively mined, homogenized, gently dried and ground raw materials. Activation replaces natural calcium and magnesium ions in the crystal lattice with sodium ions, thereby achieving a significant improvement in some properties, especially the ability to bind water.

This category includes hybrid activated mixed bentonites with other additives that release shiny carbon during casting. Even at higher carbon concentrations, they are not explosive or prone to spontaneous combustion.
